READING OF THE DAY

A reading from the Book of Jeremiah
JER 20:10-13

I hear the whisperings of many:
“Terror on every side!
Denounce! let us denounce him!”
All those who were my friends
are on the watch for any misstep of mine.
“Perhaps he will be trapped; then we can prevail,
and take our vengeance on him.”
But the LORD is with me, like a mighty champion:
my persecutors will stumble, they will not triumph.
In their failure they will be put to utter shame,
to lasting, unforgettable confusion.
O LORD of hosts, you who test the just,
who probe mind and heart,
Let me witness the vengeance you take on them,
for to you I have entrusted my cause.
Sing to the LORD,
praise the LORD,
For he has rescued the life of the poor
from the power of the wicked!

GOSPEL OF THE DAY

From the Gospel according to John
JN 10:31-42

The Jews picked up rocks to stone Jesus.
Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from my Father.
For which of these are you trying to stone me?”
The Jews answered him,
“We are not stoning you for a good work but for blasphemy.
You, a man, are making yourself God.”
Jesus answered them,
“Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, ‘You are gods”‘?
If it calls them gods to whom the word of God came,
and Scripture cannot be set aside,
can you say that the one
whom the Father has consecrated and sent into the world
blasphemes because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?
If I do not perform my Father’s works, do not believe me;
but if I perform them, even if you do not believe me,
believe the works, so that you may realize and understand
that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.”
Then they tried again to arrest him;
but he escaped from their power.

He went back across the Jordan
to the place where John first baptized, and there he remained.
Many came to him and said,
“John performed no sign,
but everything John said about this man was true.”
And many there began to believe in him.

PRIMERA LECTURA
El Señor es mi fuerte defensor.
Lectura del libro de Jeremías 20,10-13

Oía la acusación de la gente:

«Pavor-en-torno; delatadlo, vamos a delatarlo».

Yo te amo, Señor; tú eres mi fortaleza;
Señor, mi roca, mi alcázar, mi libertador. R.

Dios mío, peña mía, refugio mío,
escudo mío, mi fuerza salvadora, mi baluarte.
Invoco al Señor de mi alabanza
y quedo libre de mis enemigos. R.

Me cercaban olas mortales,
torrentes destructores me aterraban,
me envolvían las redes del abismo,
me alcanzaban los lazos de la muerte. R.

En el peligro invoqué al Señor,
grité a mi Dios:
desde su templo él escuchó mi voz,
y mi grito llegó a sus oídos. R.

Versículo Cf. Jn 6. 63c. 68c

Tus palabras, Señor, son espíritu y vida;
tú tienes palabras de vida eterna. R.

EVANGELIO

Muchos acudieron a él y decían:

LECTURE DU JOUR

Lecture du livre du prophète Jérémie
(Jr 20, 10-13)

Moi, Jérémie,
j’entends les calomnies de la foule :
« Dénoncez-le ! Allons le dénoncer,
celui-là, l’Épouvante-de-tous-côtés. »
Tous mes amis guettent mes faux pas, ils disent :
« Peut-être se laissera-t-il séduire…
Nous réussirons,
et nous prendrons sur lui notre revanche ! »

à l’endroit où, au début, Jean baptisait ;
et il y demeura.
Beaucoup vinrent à lui en déclarant :
« Jean n’a pas accompli de signe ;
mais tout ce que Jean a dit de celui-ci
était vrai. »
Et là, beaucoup crurent en lui.

LEITURA DO DIA

Leitura do Livro do Profeta Jeremias
20,10-13

Mas o Senhor está ao meu lado, como forte guerreiro;
rogo-te me faças ver tua vingança sobre eles;
pois eu te declarei a minha causa.

EVANGELHO DO DIA

Proclamação do Evangelho de Jesus Cristo segundo São João
10, 31-42

Naquele tempo:
Os judeus pegaram pedras
para apedrejar Jesus.
E ele lhes disse:
‘Por ordem do Pai,
mostrei-vos muitas obras boas.
eu a quem o Pai consagrou
Outra vez procuravam prender Jesus,

Zeigt ihn an!

EVANGELIUM VOM TAG

Aus dem heiligen Evangelium nach Johannes
Joh 10, 31-42

In jener Zeit

LETTURA DEL GIORNO

Dal libro del profeta Geremìa
Ger 20,10-13

Sentivo la calunnia di molti:
«Terrore all’intorno!

e non potranno prevalere;

Gv 10,31-42

E in quel luogo molti credettero in lui.

Holy Mass from Manila

GOSPEL OF THE DAY

From the Gospel according to John
JN 10:31-42

10:31
10:37
假使我不作我父的工作,你們就不必信我;
10:38
